Graduated in Aeronautical Sciences from the Air Force Academy (AFA) and Master in Aerospace Engineering from the Aeronautical Technological Institute (ITA), ranked as one of the top engineering schools in Latin America.
I served as a pilot in the Air Force for 16 years, a flight instructor with over 3,000 flight hours, Head of the Remote Sensing Division, and Computer Vision Engineer at the Space Operations Center in Brasília. I also worked as a researcher at the Institute for Advanced Studies and as a Data Scientist at the Aerospace Operations Command.
In 2019, I founded Sigmoidal, specialized in providing AI consulting services, in addition to immersive training programs for both businesses and individuals.
Since then, I’ve trained over 6,000 students through my courses in the technology field.

As a Data Scientist and Computer Vision Engineer, I enhanced the Brazilian Air Force’s operations by creating computer vision algorithms and automated image processing for strategic planning.
► Deployed two end-to-end computer vision applications, building ML pipelines to process satellite imagery and integrate with ArcGIS servers, achieving a 30% planning time reduction.
► Developed a Faster R-CNN-based object detection framework, enhancing intelligence analysts’ target recognition accuracy by 25%.
► Developed a hybrid genetic algorithm for scheduling optimization of EROS-B satellite, increasing target collection by 15% per pass.
► Managed a team overseeing the whole process of independently operating SAR satellites from ICEYE, from infrastructure setup to image processing, enabling the Brazilian Air Force to monitor over 225,000 km2 of the Amazon rainforest.

Focused on leveraging ML to improve the performance of observation satellites and enhance the Command-and-Control (C2) systems within the Brazilian Air Force.
► Developed a hybrid Genetic Algorithm to optimize image collection scheduling of Earth Observation.
► Contributed to the development of a daily imaging scheduling system for low-orbit Earth observation satellites, integrated with a GIS Platform using C++.

Military Pilot
Over a long period, I educated flight cadets on visual flight and instrument flight rules, including pre-solo, maneuvers, acrobatics, and four-aircraft formation flight and navigation.
► Served as manager of the Search and Rescue Squadron to provide flight instructions and encourage the safe operation of helicopters.
► Encouraged special coaching of flight cadets in all aspects of military support missions, air transportation, and combat search and rescue.
